Day 5

I guess I'm not going to post any pictures of what we did the last day because I'm too lazy. Anyway, we had a lot of fun doing the annual Strasser family carnival. We had the bouncy house up, had a money hunt, balloon darts, frisbee thing with hula hoops, sack races, a pinata, cotton candy, elephant ears, etc. All in all we had a great time. Except for the fact that Joe separated his shoulder doing the sack race. That was quite unfortunate. The next day I took him in to the doctor. They did a couple X-rays and told us that he had a grade 1 separated AC joint. Then the doctor told us that he would be required to wear a brace for a time and that he would have to come back on Wednesday (it was Saturday) for a follow up appointment with his regular doctor to determine whether or not he would need physical therapy. This was devastating for our family since our money is made from Joe's hands. So the next day we fasted and said a lot of prayers. We even had our home teacher give him a blessing. We we went back to the doctor he looked at the X-ray that had been taken on Saturday and told us that he didn't think there was really a separation. He said it looked like he had been hurt but that there was no separation on the X-ray! It was such a blessing and a miracle. He took off the brace and threw it away and wrote a note of release for Joe's employer!
